Welcome to irsissz.net...& my humble pages.
I started this site and these pages to provide information, resources, and other
documentation of interest for my own ready access. Most of this has come from
my experience with learning linux. I couldn't have imagined just how much
there is to learn. I used to think that tweaking windows was cool. Linux opens
up a whole new world, there are numerous choices for software and different
Linux flavors. It will make you become a better and more informed pc user.
I have been using linux for over 3 years now and have a better working knowledge of the funtionality of it, basically how it works. Most of the information here is from my own searching through the internet and purchased a few books on the many subjects. As I keep learning, I will continue to share what I find out and post things I have learned and try to share my experiences. I am still adding my own experiences to this site for each subject or topic and you can tell this by the TODO portions I haven't gotten to start or finsh yet. please bear with me as time allows but I Hope you find some of the information useful... Enjoy 8)
While learning to use the command line and shell interface, I came across the manual pages (for an quick explanation: read here). They document many commands. Also the GNU info pages document particular GNU commands. about info pages
These are some quick links to pages or topics. I mainly set these up to be accesible to my local network so I won't forget these tips and have to search google for them again. Some pages you are better off searching for anyway, since they will be more up to date. You may find some useful.
